Belarus and Russia Engage Youth to Counter Disinformation
The Union State of Russia and Belarus is actively engaging its youth to counter disinformation campaigns originating from the West. A recent patriotic forum in Minsk saw the participation of 200 Belarusian university students and representatives from 20 Russian universities. This initiative comes as part of a broader effort to strengthen ties between the two nations and promote a shared narrative, particularly around the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in World War II. An upcoming forum in Mogilev is expected to draw over 1000 young people. One participant stated, "It's crucial for us to learn how to identify and combat fake news and propaganda." These events underscore the importance of youth engagement in shaping national identity and countering external influences.
