Belarus and Russia Engage Youth to Combat Disinformation
The Union State of Russia and Belarus is actively engaging its youth to counter Western disinformation campaigns. A recent patriotic youth forum in Minsk saw 200 Belarusian State University students and representatives from 20 Russian universities participate. This initiative comes amidst concerns about the spread of misinformation targeting young people. An upcoming forum in Mogilev in September is expected to draw over 1000 participants aged 16-25, focusing on the 80th anniversary of Victory Day. One participant stated, "The youth are the engine of our Union State's development, and we must equip them with the tools to fight against these information attacks." These forums aim to promote unity and patriotism, countering the perceived threat of Western propaganda.
