Teves Deported, Now in NBI Custody: Claims Forceful Arrest

Former Negros Oriental Representative Arnolfo "Arnie" Teves Jr. has been deported from Timor-Leste and is now in the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in the Philippines. The arrest and deportation followed an international manhunt related to multiple murder charges in the Philippines. In a brief interview, Teves stated that he was "taken by force" by authorities in Timor-Leste. His lawyer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, expressed confidence in Teves' innocence and stated that his client is in high spirits. The NBI will continue its investigation and prosecution of Teves on the murder charges.
