Hajdúböszörmény Community Unites for School Bag Recycling Campaign, Offering Support and a Chance to Win a Bicycle

Hajdúböszörmény, Hungary – A community-driven initiative aimed at supporting local families and promoting environmental sustainability has been launched in Hajdúböszörmény. The "School Bag Recycling Campaign," a collaborative effort between HHG Nonprofit Kft. and the Hajdúböszörmény Social Services Center, encourages residents to donate used but still functional school bags and supplies for redistribution to children in need.The campaign, running from August 11 to August 31, 2025, seeks to ease the financial burden on families as the new school year approaches. "Starting school can be challenging for many families," stated a representative from HHG Nonprofit Kft., "and by recycling school supplies, we can bring joy to those who might otherwise struggle."Donations, including school bags, pencil cases, and other school equipment, can be dropped off at the courtyard of the Hajdúböszörmény Social Services Center, located at II. Rákóczi Ferenc utca 42. Collection hours are weekdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with additional hours on Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.To further incentivize participation, every donor will receive a raffle ticket. The grand prize, to be drawn on the final day of the campaign, is a brand new bicycle. This initiative not only provides essential items to students but also fosters a sense of community and promotes sustainable practices within the region.
