Tampico Homeowner Returns from US to Find House Occupied for a Decade
TAMPICO, TAMAULIPAS – A resident of Tampico, who had been working in the United States for approximately ten years, recently returned to find her home allegedly occupied by individuals who have reportedly been living there without permission or rent payments for the past decade. The homeowner, who wishes to remain anonymous for her safety, confronted two women behind the property's gate, presenting documents to assert her ownership. In a video circulated online, the homeowner can be heard stating, “I am showing that this property is my house. I have all the papers in my favor.” The individuals inside the property appeared dismissive during the confrontation, with one woman seen laughing and another stating that the owner had not been there in ten years. The homeowner expressed her frustration, saying, “They have no shame, after ten years without paying rent.” The property owner has appealed to the public to share the video widely in hopes of raising awareness and pressing the occupants to vacate her home. The incident highlights potential challenges faced by property owners who leave their homes unattended for extended periods.
