Belek, Turkey – A recent video shared by a British tourist, Rosanna OB, has brought attention to a growing issue at the Granada Luxury Belek hotel: guests reserving prime seating in the outdoor theatre area with beach towels hours before shows begin. The practice, dubbed 'Theatre Table Wars' by the frustrated holidaymaker, reportedly starts as early as 3 AM, despite hotel signage explicitly stating that no reservations are permitted under any circumstances. Ms. OB documented her observations, showing rows of tables covered with towels, seemingly unattended. She recounted an incident where a guest, who had allegedly reserved eight chairs with towels, became embroiled in a shouting match when another individual removed her towels to claim a seat. "It's a fucking joke," Ms. OB stated in her video, expressing her intent to complain to hotel management. "It should not be up to guests to remove people's towels that they were going told to do last night, and then you end up with people fighting." The video highlights a challenge faced by many resorts in managing guest access to popular amenities.
