A rural Airbnb host, known online as itsmedanahere, has shared a disturbing account of a recent guest interaction that escalated into a late-night confrontation at her private residence. The incident began with aggressive messages from the guest, who demanded the property's address despite it being readily available through the Airbnb app. According to itsmedanahere, who has been a Superhost for two years, the guest's initial booking request mentioned "one last adventure into your rural area" before returning to a big city. However, after booking, he repeatedly claimed he was "too far from town" and "didn't know where he was going," despite all necessary check-in information being provided. The situation intensified when the guest, after canceling his reservation, unexpectedly arrived at the host's private porch at approximately 8:40 PM, shining a flashlight into her home. The host, who lives in a rural area of Idaho with limited amenities and no cell service, stated that her dogs reacted "berserk." Her partner, whom she refers to as her "sniffkin other," went outside to confront the individual. The guest, visibly "shooketh," reportedly stammered excuses about not being able to use the app and expressed apologies for not staying. He then departed. The host noted that the guest's appearance did not match his profile picture. Airbnb is reportedly assisting with the situation. The host confirmed her children are safe, describing it as a "scary situation" but concluding, "we're all good." She humorously nicknamed the guest "Ted."
