Sokode BECE Exams Proceed Despite Challenges The 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) commenced smoothly at the Sokode Senior High School Centre in Ghana despite some challenges. A total of 430 candidates are sitting for the exams. Among them are two pregnant girls and one student with special needs. One candidate was reported absent. Despite these challenges, the Centre Supervisor expressed optimism about the overall success of the examination. "Despite the few challenges, we are confident that the exams will proceed smoothly," the Supervisor stated. Madam Janet Ofosu, Headmistress of Mater Ecclesiae Catholic School in Sokode, also expressed confidence in her students' preparedness. "We have prepared our students well, and we are confident they will perform to the best of their abilities," she said. The presence of pregnant girls and a student with special needs highlights the inclusivity of the Ghanaian education system. The smooth running of the exams despite these challenges speaks to the resilience and dedication of both the students and the examination officials.
