Kazakhstan Invests in Water Infrastructure: 2500 km of Pipelines to Bring Clean Water to 1.3 Million People The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan is undertaking an ambitious project to improve access to clean drinking water for its citizens. The project involves the construction of over 2500 kilometers of new water pipelines across nine regions of the country. This initiative aims to provide 1.3 million people with reliable access to potable water. "The construction of these pipelines is a crucial step towards ensuring water security for a significant portion of the population," stated Ailia Altynbekova, an expert from the Group Water Supply Development Department of the Water Management Committee. "This project is part of a larger effort to modernize our water infrastructure and improve the quality of life for all Kazakhstanis." The project encompasses 30 individual projects focused on constructing and reconstructing water supply systems. Upon completion, it is expected to benefit 468 settlements. The scale of the project highlights the government's commitment to addressing water scarcity and improving public health. The successful implementation of this initiative will significantly improve living conditions for millions of people across Kazakhstan.
