The operation, codenamed "Karasora-2025," took place on June 2, 2025, in the village of Batpak, located in the Karaganda region. Authorities seized approximately two tons of chemicals and various pieces of equipment used in the production of synthetic narcotics. Two residents of Shahhtinsk, aged 24 and 25, were apprehended and are currently facing charges. A spokesperson for the Karaganda regional police stated, "This operation is a significant blow to the illegal drug trade in our region. We are committed to continuing our efforts to combat drug trafficking and protect our communities." The successful raid underscores the ongoing commitment of Kazakh law enforcement to tackle the serious issue of drug production and distribution within the country.
