Shymkent Businesses Secure Major Deals with Tengizchevroil Shymkent, Kazakhstan – In a significant boost for the local economy, Tengizchevroil, one of Kazakhstan's largest oil producers, has signed four memorandums of cooperation with Shymkent-based companies. The agreements, announced on June 5th, 2025, mark a key initiative to support domestic businesses and increase the use of locally sourced goods in major industrial projects. The event, which included an exhibition showcasing products from local manufacturers, saw the participation of Shymkent's Akim (mayor), Gabit Syzdykbekov, and representatives from Tengizchevroil. Among the companies securing agreements are TOOs Barys-2007, Baiterek Agro, and Intermilk Kazakhstan. Additionally, Hill Corporation signed a contract to supply lubricating materials. "These agreements, especially the off-take contracts, provide local producers with access to stable orders and new opportunities for growth," stated a Tengizchevroil representative. Akim Syzdykbekov added, "This collaboration is a vital step towards strengthening the region's production sector and increasing the participation of Kazakhstani businesses in large-scale industrial projects." The initiative is expected to have a ripple effect, creating jobs and stimulating further economic development in Shymkent. Future visits from KMG Kashagan B.V., Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (KPO), and North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC) are planned, with the expectation of further agreements to expand cooperation and strengthen the position of local businesses.
