In a recent online demonstration, popular cleaning expert Lynsey, known as the "Queen of Clean," unveiled an innovative method for tackling persistent odors and mold in reusable water bottles. The hack, shared on her social media platforms, utilizes common household items to achieve a deep clean. Addressing a frequent query from her followers regarding "smelly water bottles" and "stubborn mold patches," Lynsey presented a step-by-step guide. The process involves placing a handful of uncooked rice into the bottle, followed by half-filling it with water and adding a generous drop of washing-up liquid. The mixture is then shaken vigorously and left to sit overnight. According to Lynsey, the hard rice acts as a natural abrasive, effectively scrubbing away black marks and other grime that traditional cleaning methods might miss. "I've shared tips before, like using denture tablets, but if you've got that stubborn mold patch or those little black spots, that's not always enough," she explained in her video, adding that her rice method "works wonders!" The following day, the bottle is simply rinsed, revealing a visibly cleaner interior.
