

Malaysian Haj Pilgrim Dies of Heart Attack in Mecca
A Malaysian woman performing the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, tragically passed away last Friday due to a heart attack. Norizah Tambunan Binti Nordin, 47, from Batu Pahat, Johor, was confirmed dead by Datuk Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs). According to reports, she enjoyed Zamzam water shortly before her passing. The incident highlights the risks faced by pilgrims during the Hajj, emphasizing the importance of health precautions and preparedness. The Chairman of the Johor Islamic Religious Council, Mohd Farid bin Khalid, also offered condolences, adding that Norizah was an assistant Tadbir officer in Batu Pahat and was seen looking tired during the Tawaf ritual around 6:20 am before she passed away.
