Fatal Accident Involving Pink Bus in Malacca Claims One Life

A fatal accident involving a pink bus and a car occurred yesterday evening on Lebuh Alor Gajah-Melaka Tengah-Jasin (AMJ) in Sungai Petai, Malacca. The incident, which happened around 4:55 PM near Taman Awan Biru, resulted in the death of a 23-year-old man, Muhammad Aimran Mohamad Farid, who was driving a Mitsubishi car. According to Alor Gajah District Police Chief Superintendent Al-Shaari Abu Samah, "The man, 23, was flung from his vehicle and died at the scene due to severe head injuries." A 22-year-old passenger in the car, Muhammad Hakimi Hafiz Baharin, sustained bodily injuries. The driver of the pink bus, a 37-year-old man, was arrested to assist in the investigation. Both vehicles have been impounded for further examination by Puspakom. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety.
