Human Trafficker Dies in Crash After Police Chase in Kelantan

A suspected human trafficker died in a car crash in Tumpat, Kelantan, after a chase by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency. Seven undocumented migrants, believed to be from Myanmar, were injured. The incident occurred on Wednesday at approximately 6:50 AM. According to Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Khairi Shafie, the 34-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle before crashing into a concrete drain. "The driver suffered severe chest injuries and was pronounced dead at 10:00 AM," said Assistant Commissioner Shafie. The seven injured migrants are receiving treatment at local hospitals. The accident is currently under investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act and the Immigration Act.
