Tragedy Strikes Segamat: Two Dead, Three Injured in Family Car Accident A horrific accident occurred on May 28, 2025, at approximately 6:50 PM on KM 173 of the Johor Bahru-Seremban road near Segamat, Johor, Malaysia. A Toyota Hilux, carrying a family of five, veered off the road and crashed into a ravine. Sadly, the accident resulted in the deaths of the 39-year-old driver, identified as Mohamad Fitri Mat Said, an Imam Muda at Masjid Nurul Fallah Felda Redong, and his nine-year-old daughter, Nurin Insyirah. "The accident occurred while all vehicles were moving from Labis towards Segamat," stated Segamat District Police Chief Superintendent Ahmad Zamri Marzuki. "The Toyota Hilux, carrying the family of five, is believed to have lost control after being rear-ended by another four-wheel-drive vehicle driven by a man in his thirties." The mother and two other children sustained serious injuries and are receiving treatment at a Segamat hospital.
