The incident took place along Jalan Pantai Belimbing, Durian Tunggal, Melaka. The retired officer, whose identity has not been released, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a roadside food stall. "The investigation indicates the driver was alone and traveling to Taman Melaka Permai," stated Alor Gajah District Police Chief Superintendent Asmadi Abu Samah.
