Two Malaysian Pilgrims Die in Mecca, Raising Death Toll to Seven MECCA, SAUDI ARABIA – Two more Malaysian pilgrims have died in Mecca, bringing the total number of deaths among Malaysian pilgrims to seven. The latest victims were identified as Siti Hawa Ibrahim, a 64-year-old woman who died of a heart attack, and Abdul Halim Awang, a 76-year-old man who succumbed to organ failure and infection. "The Tabung Haji Foundation has been in contact with the families and will provide full assistance with funeral arrangements and related matters," said Datuk Dr. Mohammad Na'im Mokhtar, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs). He also offered condolences to the families and prayed for the souls of the deceased. The deaths have cast a shadow over the pilgrimage, reminding everyone of the risks involved in such a journey. Despite the sadness, the support offered by the Tabung Haji Foundation shows the care and compassion extended to those who have lost loved ones.
