Giant Cows Steal the Show at Malaysian Aidiladha Carnival
**Aidiladha in Shah Alam: "Lembu Sado" a Popular Choice** Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia – The annual Aidiladha Qurban Carnival in Shah Alam, Selangor, is underway, and this year, a particular trend stands out: the overwhelming preference for "Lembu Sado," or large cows, for the sacrificial rites. The event, located near Shah Alam Stadium, provides a unique opportunity for the public to witness these impressive animals up close. Muhammad Luqman Hakim Nasarudin, the event's project manager, highlighted the carnival's aim: "First, we want to show the Sado cows more closely to the community. Many people aren't familiar with them, or haven't seen them up close." The prices for these larger animals range from RM15,000 to RM35,000, compared to smaller local cows starting at RM5,000. Visitors expressed their excitement and surprise. Nur Hazmiza Saharuddin, a carnival attendee, shared, "I can see various types of cows, from large to small. There's even an activity where you can feed the cows, making it a fun experience for children and a chance to learn more about Qurban." Another attendee, Muizzudin Mohd Rozli, added, "Seeing these enormous cows is truly amazing! It's a new experience for me." The carnival offers a blend of tradition and community engagement, providing an educational and memorable experience for all who attend, underscoring the cultural richness of Aidiladha.
