Eight Malaysian Hajj Pilgrims Die in Mecca; Heart Attack Claims Another Life Mecca, Saudi Arabia – The number of Malaysian Hajj pilgrims who have died this year has risen to eight, according to a recent report by MalaysiaGazette. The latest death involves 65-year-old Abdul Yazid from Kampung Nisam Mukim, Kurong Batang, Kangar, Perlis, who passed away at the Al-Noor Hospital in Mecca on June 11th. The cause of death was a heart attack. Datuk Mohammad Na'im Mokhtar, Minister of Religious Affairs, confirmed the tragic news. "This is the seventh death due to a heart attack," he stated. Another Malaysian pilgrim also passed away on June 4th due to an infection and organ failure. The report highlights the challenges faced by pilgrims during the Hajj season and underscores the importance of health precautions and awareness.
