Tenth Malaysian Hajj Pilgrim Dies in Mecca A wave of sadness has swept through Malaysia following the death of Abdul Malik Sudin, 62, the tenth Malaysian pilgrim to pass away during this year's Hajj pilgrimage. Sudin died of a heart attack at King Abdullah Hospital in Mecca on Sunday. The news was confirmed by Datuk Dr. Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), who expressed his deepest sympathies to Sudin's family. "This is the tenth death involving Malaysian haj pilgrims," stated Datuk Dr. Mokhtar in a press briefing. He also confirmed that Sudin's wife, who is also in Mecca, has been informed.
