Death of Malaysian Pilgrim in Mecca Brings Total to Nine A Malaysian pilgrim, Syed Baharom Syed Hussin (72), from Alor Setar, Kedah, passed away at Mina Al-Wadee Hospital in Mecca on Saturday, June 7th, 2025. This is the ninth death of a Malaysian pilgrim during the 1446 Hijrah Hajj season. Datuk Dr. Mohammad Na'im Mokhtar, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), confirmed the news.
