Nineth Malaysian Hajj Death Reported in Mina A 72-year-old Malaysian pilgrim, Syed Baharom Syed Hussin, from Alor Setar, Kedah, passed away in Mina, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, at 4:53 AM. He suffered a heart attack. This was announced by the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Dato' Dr Haji Mohd Na'im Mokhtar. The Tabung Haji (TH) has officially confirmed the death and conveyed their condolences to the family. The death marks the ninth fatality among Malaysian pilgrims during the current Hajj season (1446H/2025M). "The Tabung Haji (TH) will continue to monitor the health of all Malaysian pilgrims in the Holy Land and urge them to prioritize their health and adhere to guidelines," said a statement from TH.
