Malaysia Launches Export Incubator to Empower Women Entrepreneurs Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – In a significant move to boost women's economic participation, the Malaysian government launched a dedicated export incubator for women entrepreneurs. The initiative, announced at the Women in Export (WIEX) Forum 2025, aims to provide comprehensive support for women seeking to expand their businesses internationally. The incubator will offer a range of services, including mentorship from export experts, training in international certification processes, and access to co-working spaces. This holistic approach addresses key challenges faced by women entrepreneurs, particularly those lacking access to capital or international market knowledge. "This incubator is a one-stop center providing a supportive ecosystem for women entrepreneurs who want to penetrate international markets," said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in his address at the launch. "It will offer export mentorship, international certification training, and co-working spaces, particularly for women from rural or underserved areas." Furthermore, the government announced a new award, "Anugerah Birawati Ekonomi Wanita," to recognize outstanding women who have made significant contributions to trade, technology, halal industries, and export across the region. This award serves to both celebrate achievements and inspire future generations of female entrepreneurs. The initiative underscores Malaysia's commitment to empowering women and strengthening its global economic standing. By fostering female entrepreneurship and promoting export-oriented businesses, Malaysia aims to enhance its competitiveness on the world stage.
