Scottish Man Dies Tragically During Stag Do in Portugal

Greg Monks, a 38-year-old man from Cambuslang, Scotland, died tragically during a stag do in Albufeira, Portugal. He was last seen on CCTV footage in the residential area of Serra da Guia, about four miles from the main bar area. His friends reported him missing the day after he arrived in the Algarve. Police have since found his body, and while an autopsy is pending, they currently believe his death was accidental, likely a fall while walking back to his hotel after a night of drinking. His parents and girlfriend have traveled to Portugal. A police source stated, “There is nothing at this stage to indicate this man’s death was linked in any way to a crime.” The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety while traveling and enjoying nightlife abroad.
