Fatal Stabbing in the Bronx: Investigation Underway

A 39-year-old man was found fatally stabbed in the Tremont section of the Bronx in the early hours of Monday, June 2, 2025. Police responded to a call at approximately 12:02 AM at 1925 Bathgate Avenue, where they discovered the victim with stab wounds to the neck and chest. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The NYPD is currently investigating the incident and has yet to release the victim's identity, pending notification of next of kin. No arrests have been made at this time. A neighbor, who wished to remain anonymous, stated, "I heard a commotion around midnight, but I didn't think anything of it until I saw the police lights." The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD.
