Kazakhstan Invests Billions in Sowing Season, Boosting Agricultural Production

North Kazakhstan Sowing Season Supported by 83 Billion Tenge in Government Funding The start of the sowing season in North Kazakhstan's Kyzylzhar district was marked by a visit from Marat Tasmagambetov, the region's First Deputy Akim. The visit underscored the significant government investment in the agricultural sector. Tasmagambetov highlighted the substantial financial support provided, stating that funding for the sowing season began as early as December. He emphasized the utilization of key support mechanisms, including 83 billion tenge channeled through the "Ken dala-1" and "Ken dala-2" programs, and an additional 37 billion tenge allocated via the SPC (likely referring to a regional agricultural production cooperative). The provision of fertilizers and subsidized fuel further bolstered the support measures. Erbol Atyanov, director of the North Kazakhstan branch of KazAgroFinance, added that the company had financed the acquisition of agricultural machinery through leasing, totaling 13.5 billion tenge, and 430 units of equipment. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on farmers and promote the use of modern agricultural technology. Gabbas Zhantaev, director of Service-ZHARSC, a local agricultural enterprise, reported that they had already sown a quarter of their planned area and are currently planting the 'Avgustina' wheat variety. Zhantaev stated, "In general, we are ready for sowing, we started sowing, we are sowing. Today we are sowing 'Avgustina' wheat of the first reproduction." This demonstrates the practical implementation of the government's support programs on the ground. The government's commitment to supporting the agricultural sector, as evidenced by these substantial financial investments and resource provisions, bodes well for the success of the sowing season and food security in the region.
