
Kazakhstan Celebrates Culture Workers with Awards and Concert
Culture and Art Workers Celebrated in North Kazakhstan Region The North Kazakhstan region (SKO) recently celebrated Culture and Art Workers' Day with an award ceremony honoring the region's most talented artists. The event, held on May 23, 2025, recognized the contributions of 30 individuals in various creative fields. The regional governor, Gauyez Nurmukhambetov, delivered a speech praising the awardees for their role in preserving Kazakhstan's cultural heritage. "This holiday is another opportunity to express gratitude to those who preserve and multiply our cultural heritage," Nurmukhambetov stated. The ceremony included the presentation of letters of appreciation, honorary diplomas, and various awards. One notable recipient was artist Bolat Aserbekov, who received the "Kurmet" order for his significant contributions to the development and promotion of national culture. In an interview, Aserbekov highlighted his artistic journey, mentioning his work on murals depicting prominent Kazakh figures and his involvement with various art organizations throughout his career. "Artistic school, art college, art institute...the Association of Young Artists of the USSR in 1989, then the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan," he shared, reflecting on his extensive experience. The celebration also included a vibrant concert featuring talented local performers. The event underscores the region's commitment to supporting the arts and fostering cultural growth.
