Mega Dairy Farm Under Construction in Kazakhstan to Boost Milk Production
Construction of a large dairy farm in Kazakhstan's Kyzylzhar district is progressing rapidly. The 9 billion tenge project, a joint venture between Zenchenko and K, is expected to house 8,000 cattle and produce 26 million tons of milk annually. Yuri Petrov, an engineer with the project, stated that "half of the cows are from the USA, Holstein Friesian breed, known for high milk yield." Kanat Darbaev, head of the Kyzylzhar district's agriculture and veterinary department, emphasized the project's importance in line with the President's initiative to develop rural areas. The farm is projected to create 60 jobs upon completion in September. This development showcases Kazakhstan's commitment to agricultural modernization and economic growth in rural regions.
