Dejan Milićević Calls for Ban on Men's Leggings, Sparks Fashion Debate
BELGRADE – Prominent fashion photographer Dejan Milićević has sparked a public debate after proposing a "ban" on tight-fitting trousers and leggings for men. Speaking in a video released by the Najzena.rs portal, Milićević expressed his strong disapproval of the current trend, stating, "I would ban leggings for men." He elaborated on his view, suggesting that such attire makes men look like "first-rank ballet dancers from Belgrade." Milićević questioned the longevity and appeal of these fashion choices. "Enough with ballet leggings," he declared, adding, "Even when skinny pants were in fashion, leggings were not so popular." He highlighted the discomfort he perceives, noting, "When you go out somewhere... you see a ton of men in black and white shirts, and below, in such tight leggings, it makes me sick." The photographer also shared a humorous, yet pointed, observation about the practicality of tight clothing in intimate situations. "I don't know how in some act of passionate love, those pants come off," he mused, suggesting, "There's probably some method." His comments have resonated with many viewers, drawing both agreement and criticism, and fueling a broader conversation about men's fashion and societal expectations. The video, which features Milićević speaking directly to the camera with interspersed images of men in tight pants, has quickly garnered significant attention online.
