Toddler Released from Hospital After Double Hit-and-Run in Philadelphia
A two-year-old child was struck by two cars in a hit-and-run incident in Philadelphia on Thursday night. The incident happened around 9:00 PM at the intersection of 33rd and Susquehanna Avenue. Police say the child was with his family when he wandered into the street. He was first hit by a blue SUV traveling south on 33rd Street, and then by a white pickup truck going in the same direction. Both drivers fled the scene. The child was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he underwent a CAT scan. He was released from the hospital earlier this morning. Police are asking the drivers to turn themselves in. "Turn yourselves in. It's directed to the drivers of the two vehicles that hit a toddler Thursday night," said a police spokesperson. Police have witnesses who saw the incident and surveillance footage of the intersection. This information will aid in the ongoing investigation.
