Philippines to Cancel Passport of Former Spokesperson Harry Roque Amid Legal Proceedings

The Philippine Department of Justice announced plans to revoke the passport of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque. The decision comes amid ongoing legal proceedings against Roque. Justice Secretary Boying Remulla explained that the cancellation is a procedural step, and if Roque's asylum application is denied, he will face deportation. "If he doesn't get asylum and his passport is canceled, he will have to be deported." Remulla stated. Roque is currently residing in the Netherlands.
