eGovPH App to Display Traffic Violations, Streamlining NCAP Penalty Payments
The Philippines' eGovPH app is set to introduce a new feature that will allow citizens to view and settle No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) violations directly through the app. This was announced in a recent News5 Frontline Tonight report. The report showcased footage of common traffic violations caught on camera, highlighting the need for a streamlined system. Usec. David Almirol of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) explained, "You can simply click on the penalty, and you will also receive a notification that you have a violation." The new feature aims to increase transparency and efficiency in traffic law enforcement, allowing citizens to easily access their violation details and pay penalties without the need for physical interaction. This initiative is expected to improve the overall experience for drivers and contribute to a more efficient traffic management system in the Philippines. The eGovPH app is available on both the App Store and Google Play Store.
