At the Make Good Famous Summit, Sesame Workshop was awarded the Elevate Catalyst Award, which comes with a $250,000 grant. The award was presented by Carolina Garcia Jayaram, CEO of the Elevate Prize Foundation. Perez highlighted the importance of representation and inclusion in children's programming, stating, "As a young kid, you kind of think about, okay, what is your place in that? And it starts to feel like you belong in a lot of different ways." Jayaram emphasized the profound influence of Sesame Street, saying, "I can't think honestly of anyone who has touched more lives, especially young lives, than this year's recipients."
