Bolivian Health Authorities Mandate Vaccination Card for Child Travel, Urge Preventive Measures
La Paz, Bolivia - René Bilbao, director of the Departmental Health Service (Sedes), announced today a series of public health measures aimed at preventing the spread of diseases, particularly ahead of school breaks. During a press conference, Bilbao stated that Sedes has requested a dedicated vaccination day for the entire population to boost immunity levels. Furthermore, parents are strongly advised to avoid inter-provincial and inter-departmental travel during the upcoming school recesses. For any strictly necessary travel, a vaccination card will be an obligatory document for minors under five years of age at all terminals. Bilbao also emphasized the importance of using face masks for anyone presenting respiratory symptoms, as a general preventive measure. He highlighted ongoing efforts to monitor and manage current health challenges in the region.
