La Paz, Bolivia – Presidential candidate Eduardo del Castillo, representing the Movement for Socialism (MAS), has unveiled a key proposal within his government plan: the nationalization of undocumented vehicles, commonly referred to as 'chutos.' The candidate stated that there are over 500,000 such vehicles in the country, and their nationalization could generate significant revenue for the state. During a public address, Del Castillo elaborated on the initiative, suggesting that the process would involve importing 'kits' to convert these motor vehicles into hybrid models. This conversion, he asserted, would not only formalize the status of these vehicles but also contribute to reducing fuel consumption and combating the illicit trade of fuels, which he noted inflates prices for both legal and illegal markets. "We could collect 1,000 million dollars in less than two weeks, destined immediately for the benefit of the Bolivian people," Del Castillo stated, emphasizing the economic benefits of his plan.
