Influencer quit Dubai after it left her in 'a state of depression'
Dubai is often a dream location for many, with its luxurious shopping malls, hot weather and amazing landscapes.
Influencer Rosie Routledge Announces Departure from Dubai, Citing Lifestyle Shift and Family Priorities.Popular social media personality Rosie Routledge has revealed her decision to leave Dubai, a city she once described as an "amazing experience," to relocate to the Isle of Man. In a recent video, Routledge detailed her motivations for the significant life change, highlighting a desire for a different pace of life.Routledge explained that Dubai's extreme convenience, where "anything [can be] delivered to my doorstep within 20 minutes," led to her becoming isolated and rarely leaving her home. She also noted that the initial 'novelty' of Dubai's luxurious offerings, such as the Burj Khalifa and stunning malls, eventually wore off, making them less special as part of daily life. Furthermore, Routledge described a pervasive "rat race" culture in Dubai, where "everyone's trying to make the most money, drive the best cars, have the nicest things," which she felt fostered a sense of competition and failure if one wasn't at a certain level.Ultimately, the primary driver for her move was a longing for family and a more "wholesome" environment, including experiencing distinct seasons like autumn and winter. She expressed a craving for a "slower pace of life," finding that living in a huge city like Dubai could become "quite isolating and lonely after a while." Routledge emphasized that she has "not a bad word to say about Dubai" and is grateful for her time there, but her current desires no longer align with the city's lifestyle. She has now moved to the Isle of Man, which she described as the "complete opposite of Dubai," and plans to share her new experiences with her followers.
