New School Year, Old Problems: Parents Struggle as Children Refuse Homework
Kyiv, Ukraine – A local mother has sparked a discussion online after sharing her struggles with her child’s refusal to do homework, just days into the new school year. In a video uploaded on September 3, the woman, known as Roza, expressed her frustration, stating, "We started at 12, and after four hours, the child declared, 'I won't do homework, I don't need a phone, or a tablet, or a walk. I don't want anything.'" She further explained her attempts to reason with the child, saying, "I talked, I pleaded... there are no arguments. 'No, I won't do homework.'" The video, which has garnered significant attention, highlights a common challenge faced by parents as children return to school. Roza appealed to her followers for advice, asking, "Parents, how do you cope? Please share your life hacks, because it's only September 3rd, and we just got homework for the first time this year." The video underscores the emotional toll and practical difficulties parents encounter in motivating their children academically.
