"A couple days ago, we got .8 of an inch of rain," explained the presenter in the video, demonstrating how the system effectively captured and utilized the rainfall. "That was more than enough water to fill each one of these basins, with some surplus going back to the street." The project involves a series of stepped basins that redirect stormwater from the streets, allowing it to naturally irrigate trees and other vegetation. This not only provides free water for urban flora but also significantly reduces flooding downstream.
