
São Paulo Ride-Sharing Accident Claims Young Woman's Life
A young woman, Larissa Barros Máximo Torres, lost her life on Saturday evening in São Paulo, Brazil, in a tragic accident involving a ride-sharing car and a motorcycle taxi. The accident occurred on Avenida Tiradentes in the Bom Retiro neighborhood. According to police reports, two passengers in a ride-sharing vehicle, seemingly intoxicated, were involved in an altercation. One passenger opened the car door, striking the passing motorcycle. Larissa and the motorcyclist were thrown from the vehicle. A witness stated, "I heard a loud crash and then saw the young woman on the ground." Larissa was fatally injured, and the motorcyclist also suffered injuries. The ride-sharing company, 99, released a statement expressing condolences to the victim’s family and offering support.
