According to police reports, the operation involved extensive surveillance and the gathering of sensitive information on the targeted officials. The investigation uncovered a detailed organizational structure within the group, with roles assigned for administration, equipment, communications, and finances. One police official stated, "This was a highly organized operation that posed a serious threat to national security." The arrests follow an extensive investigation and were authorized by Supreme Court Justice Cristiano Zanin. Five arrest warrants were executed, along with six search and seizure warrants, across the states of São Paulo, Mato Grosso, and Minas Gerais. Among those arrested was an active-duty military member.
