Rio de Janeiro Police Seize Luxury Armored Vehicle Used by Drug Traffickers A major police operation in Rio de Janeiro's Morro do Dendê has resulted in the seizure of a luxury armored vehicle heavily modified for use by drug traffickers. The vehicle, described by police as a "Caveirão do Tráfico" (Traffic Caveirão), was discovered during a raid on a suspected drug trafficking hideout. Police spokesperson, Officer Silva, stated, "The vehicle was clearly prepared for combat, with reinforced armor and specially cut openings in the windows for firing weapons." The modifications included metal plates on the doors and roof, further strengthening the vehicle's original armor. In addition to the vehicle, authorities seized four rifles and four pistols. While no arrests were made during this operation, the seizure represents a significant blow to the drug trafficking network operating in the area. The investigation is ongoing. This successful operation offers a glimmer of hope in the ongoing fight against crime in Rio de Janeiro.
