Affordable Housing with Purchase Option Attracts Young Professionals to Bobruisk
Bobruisk, Belarus, is implementing a new rental housing program designed to support young professionals. The initiative offers affordable apartments with an option to purchase, addressing housing shortages and attracting skilled workers to the city. Margarita Bubnik, a nurse at Bobruisk City Polyclinic No. 1, expressed her delight at moving into her new apartment, stating, "Dormitory life and having my own apartment are two completely different concepts!" The program has already helped several young professionals, including Anna Poliley, a teacher at secondary school No. 24, who recently relocated to Bobruisk from Osipovichi. The program's success is contributing to solving the problem of staff shortages in the city. Over 55 million Belarusian rubles are allocated to construct 530 apartments in Bobruisk by 2025. This initiative demonstrates a practical approach to attracting and retaining skilled workers in smaller Belarusian cities.
