Poisonous Diet Pills: Man Jailed After UK Raid Uncovers Illegal Operation
A 33-year-old man from Maesteg, Wales, has been jailed for three years for selling illegal and poisonous diet pills. Kyle Enos manufactured and distributed the pills, which contained DNP, a toxic industrial chemical banned in the UK. The pills were disguised as vitamins and sold through Enos's self-made website. Police in Wales raided Enos's flat, uncovering a significant quantity of the pills and pill-making equipment. "This case serves as a stark warning about the dangers of unregulated supplements," said a spokesperson for South Wales Police. The investigation involved collaboration between South Wales Police and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The successful prosecution sends a strong message that the illegal manufacture and sale of harmful substances will not be tolerated.
