Madrid, Spain – As holiday travel approaches, car owners are urged to perform essential vehicle checks to ensure safety on the roads. Juan José Ebenezer, founder of Talleres Ebenezer, a renowned automotive workshop, recently shared three critical maintenance tips that even non-mechanics can easily follow before embarking on a journey. "The first and most typical check, yet often overlooked, is tire pressure," stated Ebenezer in a recent public address. He emphasized that correct tire pressure is fundamental for vehicle stability, fuel efficiency, and preventing blowouts, especially during long drives. Drivers should consult their vehicle's manual or the sticker inside the driver's door for the recommended pressure. Secondly, Ebenezer highlighted the importance of checking the coolant level. "Maintaining the proper coolant level is vital for preventing engine overheating, which can lead to severe damage," he advised. He recommended checking the reservoir when the engine is cold and ensuring the fluid is between the minimum and maximum marks. Finally, Ebenezer stressed the need to inspect the power steering fluid. "Proper power steering fluid levels ensure smooth and responsive steering, a critical safety feature," he explained. He advised drivers to locate the power steering fluid reservoir and ensure its level is adequate, topping it up if necessary with the correct type of fluid. By following these simple steps, drivers can significantly reduce the risk of roadside breakdowns and enhance their travel safety.
