Machete Attack Injures Teen in Adelaide CBD A 16-year-old boy is in serious condition after a machete attack at the Altitude Apartments in Adelaide's CBD early Monday morning. Police responded to reports of a violent brawl just before 5 am. The victim, from Brahma Lodge, sustained stab wounds to his back, thighs, and hands. Police Commissioner Grant Stevens confirmed that a machete was used in the fight, which involved up to seven people. "The investigation is ongoing, but we believe all those involved are known to each other," Commissioner Stevens stated. Two other men, aged 27 and 31, also suffered lacerations and were taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment. The incident occurred at the student accommodation building on Balfours Way, near Morphett, Franklin, and Waymouth streets. Police have cordoned off the area and are continuing their investigation. While the incident is concerning, the fact that those involved were reportedly known to each other suggests it was not a random act of violence.
