Citizen Journalist Alleges Drunken Police Officers in Burr Ridge Confrontation
Burr Ridge, Illinois - A late-night encounter in a local parking lot has sparked controversy after a citizen journalist filmed himself confronting three police officers, alleging they were intoxicated after leaving a bar. The incident, which occurred on September 15, 2025, involved the filmer repeatedly questioning the officers about their sobriety and demanding their identification. The video shows the individual, identified as 'TheMaggiccMike' on social media, approaching a police vehicle and engaging with an officer identified as 'Husarik'. The filmer states, "You're drunk, aren't you? You've been drinking, haven't you?" The officer denies the accusation. The filmer then requests a sergeant and a lieutenant, asserting, "I need a police officer here right now. I'm at the GG Bar right now. I need a police officer here right now." He further claims to be "in fear for my life" and calls 911, reporting that officers are drunk and he needs help. Another officer, identified as 'McNab', also appears in the video. Both officers are heard telling the filmer they have other duties and that he is misusing 911. The filmer continues his accusations, stating, "These guys are drunk. They're fucking wasted." He then challenges one officer to "walk that line" on the pavement. The officers eventually depart in their patrol vehicles, with the filmer commenting on one vehicle's driving, suggesting the officer is too intoxicated to operate it safely. The Burr Ridge Police Department has yet to release a statement regarding the incident.
