The video, shared by 'The Nailab,' shows a man, identified by several online commenters as a repeat offender, systematically attempting to enter various establishments before successfully stealing a cell phone from the reception area of the salon. The footage, dated September 3rd, depicts the individual entering the salon, engaging staff by inquiring about products like sunglasses, which diverted their attention. While an employee was assisting another customer and looking for items, the man is seen discreetly reaching over the counter and taking a cell phone. He then quickly exits the premises, running to avoid capture. Several social media users, responding to the shared video, reported similar experiences, with one comment stating, "This gentleman is already very famous, he appears in many videos of robberies using the same technique of carrying books or folders to hide cell phones." Another user from Zona 1 recalled, "Three years ago in my business in Zona 1, he stole my Mac laptop." The widespread recognition of the thief and his modus operandi highlights a recurring issue for businesses in various zones across Guatemala City.
