28 Years Later Finally Proves an Unspeakable Truth About... the Teletubbies
What lurks beneath the surface?
A viral video circulating online revives a disturbing conspiracy theory suggesting that the beloved children's program, Teletubbies, draws its inspiration from a grim reality within a Bulgarian mental institution. The video claims that the four main characters—Laa-Laa, Tinky Winky, Dipsy, and Po—are allegedly based on real children from a facility known as 'La La Land,' each with a tragic backstory. According to the theory, one child, Lala, whose facial disfigurement and five years of isolation inspired 'Laa-Laa,' was among them. Another, a deaf and facially deformed child tied outdoors and frostbitten, is said to have inspired 'Tinky Winky.' The character 'Dipsy' is purportedly linked to Donka, who was starving and unwell, lying in his vomit for days. Finally, 'Po' is said to be inspired by Polina, who tragically fell into a fire and was roasted alive. The video further alleges that the children's main source of comfort was television sets, and to prevent their removal, they reportedly hid miniature TVs within their bodies, only to be found deceased by caregivers. This theory, widely shared on social media, continues to spark discussion and unease among viewers.
