Chicago, IL – A recent incident at a Walgreens store located at 200 W Adams has sparked outrage after a woman reported being subjected to a racist verbal assault and physical threats. The incident, which occurred on September 25, 2025, involved a confrontation between the woman and a young Hispanic male, estimated to be between 19 and 24 years old. According to the woman, who wishes to remain anonymous for security reasons, the man intentionally bumped into her and her shopping cart multiple times. When she calmly asked him to say "excuse me" after the second bump, the situation rapidly escalated. The man reportedly "exploded — cursing, saying 'maybe you should get the f*** out the way,' and hurling insults." The woman began recording the encounter, capturing the man's racist rant. She stated he called her "ghetto" and made deeply offensive remarks, including "didn't you suffer enough, your ancestors were slaves." The confrontation continued, with the man allegedly making direct threats. "I’ll beat your ass and pull every single dread (braid) out of your head. I’ll make sure to leave you dreadless," the woman quoted him as saying. The victim, identifying herself as a Black woman, expressed profound disappointment and disgust, highlighting the persistence of such racist behavior. She has filed a police report and provided video evidence to authorities, appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the individual involved. "I will not let this go, he F.A. and now he needs to F.O.," she stated, emphasizing her determination to seek justice.
